The preflight engine, in the open
lintPDF inspects a PDF against 500+ checks — fonts, color, images, transparency, page geometry, packaging dielines, barcodes — plus a PDF/X-4 conformance suite, and reports exactly what's wrong and where. It never modifies your file. Open source, with a hosted platform for teams who'd rather not run it themselves.
Print With Synergy
lintPDF is built by Print With Synergy, a studio focused on prepress automation and developer tooling for the print and packaging industry. These tools grew out of real plant workflows: extract the facts once, preflight against the standards, plan imposition optimally, produce deterministically, and review with prepress-grade tooling.
Every tool — codex-pdf, lint-pdf, compile-pdf, lens-pdf, assay-pdf, and the rest of the toolkit — is open source under AGPL-3.0. Run them on your own infrastructure, adopt a single tool, or use the hosted Print With Synergy service and skip the ops entirely. lintPDF reads its document facts from codex-pdf, so every check works from the same extracted source of truth.
The hosted service adds multi-tenant auth, Stripe billing with usage-based overage, and quotas — managed hosting around the same open tools.
